hey
i woke up this morning at about 8:30 and turned over, i felt like something was coming out of me, i felt to see and i was wet down there, it felt like water but kinda silky, best way i can decribe it is like water based lube. it defo wasnt urine and was to clear to be discharge, i put a pad on and went back to bed, i must of leaked about 10times since then, not big gushes, just trickles. my pad is still mainly dry but every time i move i get little trickles come out. i was told by my midwife if my waters do break to put a pad on, if it becomes soaked you know your waters have broken and to go to hospital, but my pad is still rather dry (fluid soaked into pad) i thought my waters broke at 28weeks but only leaked once and was cloudy, hospital said it was excess discharge so dnt want to go to hospital again and waste their time if its nothing, any advice?

ps: for past month i have been getting period like cramp, yday i had bad backache and this morning i had diarrhoea

certainly sounds like your waters have gone - and if your baby is head down and is plugging the hole you won't leak much when you're standing up. Good luck!

I'm not much help, as I'm pg with my first, but to my entirely inexperienced mind it sounds like it could be the start of things. Exciting!

Period like pains is probably Braxton-Hicks

Backache could easily be early labour

Diarrhoea is probably body clearing out before the big event...

GOOD LUCK!!!

I'd phone midwife. If labour hasn't started n 24 hours then they like to get things moving (assuming your waters have broken).

And the most important thing - if it does all happen - come back here and post a birth announcement!

ExpatGossipGirl · 15/01/2010 12:26

Yes! Call your midwife or just go straight to the hospital, you do not want to leave it too late.
Hope it all goes smoothly for you!
