I'm about 13 weeks now with my second pregnancy, and this time last time I just looked like I'd been munching on one too many cakes here and there. This time, I have a noticeable bump, and when I feel it, it's not all flab (though I still do have an amount of podge) because it's firmer than fat. (Plus, my DS is a handful enough that I weighed a good few kilos less when I concieved this time around, so it's not that I've been putting on weight anyway.)
But it's way too high up to actually be the baby at this point, so what's going on? I can already feel the muscles parting round my abdomen, so is it just a result of my body already being knackered from last time? My scan showed one healthy baby, at normal size for the number of weeks I am, but honestly, I'm so big I was worried they'd find two!
I'll admit I'm probably overreacting, but I've also had huge backache as well, which didn't appear until my dear DS had the time of his life fidgeting from six months to delivery last time. That pregnancy was unplanned, so I was rather in shock until about halfway through, hence my memories being a little vague. Basically, I just want to make sure nothing's wrong with me, and if anyone knows, I'm awfully nosey about what shunts to where and at what point, organ-wise.
