I know every woman and every pregnancy is different, but this is my first baby and I have no pregnant friends, so can't compare myself to see where I'm at. Wondered if someone could enlighten me please. I'm 5'4" and pre-pregnancy I was a size 8 and 8.5 stone. I'm 22+3weeks and weighed myself today for the first time in several weeks and was a little surprised to see I'm 9.5stone. Is a whole stone an average weight gain for this gestation? Or do I need to eat less or more? Thank you

I'm also 5'4" and was about 8 stone 4 pre-pregnancy. I'm 33 weeks now, but at 22-23 weeks I had put on about 12lbs. I've now put on 2 stone, so a stone by the halfway point sounds fine to me. As you said, everyone is different, so as long as you feel you're eating plenty (i.e. not hungry all the time, not overeating by a ridiculous amount), I don't think you have anything to worry about. Did you have a scan at about 20 weeks? I'm sure they would have picked up on the baby being too big or too small, and that's the important thing

Thank you for your reply! Yeah my 20 week scan said baby was bang on average size so you're def right that's the most important thing. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy
