Don't know what I am having this time yet but I have a spotty complexion (lovely!) this time and never have done so before at ANY time!

I have felt hideous for the first trimester of this pg (just starting to come out of it now)

With dd1 I didn't 'feel' anything and doubted I was pg until I saw her on the scan

With dd2 I fely tired (but had little dd1) but didn't feel hideous

I truly have felt awful. So am interested to see if this is a gender thing or not

teaandcakeplease · 14/01/2010 13:37

My first pregnancy was a girl and I threw up 3 times a day until week 18 and felt rotten.

My second pregnancy was a boy and I felt nausea often but was only sick about 2 or 3 times until week 18. So big difference for me. Felt better with the boy by far. It could be related or not???

WorzselMummage · 14/01/2010 13:39

With DD and the misscarriage I suspect was a girl i was spotty, greasy, angry and hugely pukey. Oh and my brain was incapable of even the simplest of tasks, I couldnt even manage the shopping.

With Ds and the other 2 pregnancies I barely knew I was pregnant

neolara · 14/01/2010 13:41

Felt much worse with girl pregnancies than with boy pregnancies.

flybynight · 14/01/2010 14:10

With my boys I had very hairy legs and no nausea at all. With my daughter and my current lodger (unknown sex) very little hair on my legs and quite bad nausea and vomiting.

LaCerbiatta · 14/01/2010 14:21

Practically identical pregnancies with dd and ds (due in 1 month). The only difference is that with dd, I totally went off still water and curries and craved vinegar, tomatos and cucumber, and ice, this time with ds I went off dark chocolate and can't stand sparkling water - only still.

bogie · 14/01/2010 14:23

I go huge when I am preg with a girl ds I was tiny dd1 and dd(on the way) I was/am mahoosive.

DrSkidaddle · 14/01/2010 14:24

felt sicker and more emotional with DD than either DS. Craved meat with both DS's and jelly babies with DD

iwouldgoouttonight · 14/01/2010 14:34

I craved sugary foods, put on more weight and felt more sick with DD. Stayed slim with a nice neat bump with DS but was very emotional and cried at anything!

foxyjbro99 · 14/01/2010 14:34

I've only had girls, but felt very sick with both in first trimester.

The hairs on my legs hardly grew at all with either - weird!!

Chaotica · 14/01/2010 15:16

Had terrible sickness to 16w with DD and none with DS. Had terrible skin through pg with DS and outrageous attack of pg rash (PUPPP) with DS from 35w which was like sunburn, hives, chickenpox, psorisis and eczema all at once. (Also had several pregnancy complications more associated with boys with DS.)

thedollshouse · 14/01/2010 15:27

Old wives tale. Everyone is convinced I am carrying a girl because I have been much sicker and am carrying the baby in a different way than I did with ds. What they don't know is we found out the sex at the 20 week scan and we are having another boy.

heth1980 · 14/01/2010 15:39

I have a DD and another on the way (am 33 wks). My pregnancies have been pretty much identical so far. I was convinced i was having another girl way before having it confirmed just because of the symptoms etc.

mama2moo · 14/01/2010 15:50

Im 38 weeks pg with dd2 and my pregnancies couldnt have been more different.

This time I have been ill, stupidly tired and really struggled through it. Last time it was a breeze

whensmydayoff · 14/01/2010 16:10

Felt exactly the same with both DS and DD.

Nausea and sickness week 5-12,

week 13-31 felt great, really content and happy.

Week 32-37 was grumpy and knackered.
Was really shocked when MW said 'its a girl'

Taramuddle · 14/01/2010 16:54

I had no sex drive when I was carrying dd but felt very different when pregnant with ds !

serialmum · 14/01/2010 21:10

DS - sick for 9 months, was huge all over, craved meat, curry & chocolate and had sex drive through the roof

DD1 & DD2 - neat bump, craved ice & ice lollies, felt nauseous but very little sickness & very little sex drive

Almost 37 weeks with DC4 and pregnancy progressing as per DD's. Don't know what I am having yet though.

FifiForgot · 14/01/2010 22:39

With DD I had the easiest pregnancy in the world, no sickness, no tiredness, lots of energy.

With DS (due in 10 days), I have been sick since the word go (even before finding out resulting in 14 weeks off work), totally exhausted, uncomfortable (suspected eptopic and now back to back) and generally a miserable cow!

Basically the two pregnancies couldn't have been more different. I knew that this one was going to be a boy even before we found out at our scan! Interestingly, I went off chocolate with both which is why DD STILL has Easter chocolate left, not to mention all the Christmas stuff!

ilovesprouts · 14/01/2010 22:44

i was more sick whith ds than dd

Fleecy · 14/01/2010 22:47

Very similar pregnancies - one was DD, one was DS.

MrsDmamee · 15/01/2010 12:43

3rd pg and have every symptom under the sun with this one.. 16 weeks and still have some MS went off nearly all food esp meat cant bear it or the smell of it cooking and even meat flavored crisps and noodles i have to leave the house !!!! but im liking sweets but not chocolate or biscuits
dont know what we are having and decided to leave it as a surprise.

other 2 pg were ds's and they were easy no symptoms at all with ds1 ate everything and carried on as normal and ds2 just a few weeks feeling queasy close to meal times and tired but other than that nothing at all except fresh bread smell in tesco made me feel sick. but ate as normal too.

SmallShips · 15/01/2010 13:49

I had morning sickness with DS but didn't suffer with it all with my girl pregnancies.

DrSkidaddle · 15/01/2010 14:00

MrsDMamee - I reckon you're having a girl - that sounds EXACTLY like my pg with DD (and you previous pg sound like mine with DSs)

With Ds I was sick, tired and had mahor heartburn from start to finish! I also craved chips and gravy and sweets, like refresher bars, fizzy cola bottles etc but hated chocolate.

This time I don't know what I'm having but apart from sore boobs I have no other symptoms but am craving chocolate. So much so that I made a chocolate cake at midnight last night!
