I am 38 weeks pregnant and have just been for an antenatal check my bp was 100/53!!! Is this to low? I had pre-eclampsia last pregnancy so was used to high bp, i have never had bp this low it has just been average throughout this pregnancy.

I have gestational diabetes this pregnancy and blood sugars have been low the last week, is this related to low blood pressure.

Should i be concerned? What causes bp to go low?

If it is any consolation my BP is always around that pregnant or not... and I keep being told it is perfect. I don't have GD or any other problems if that helps.

Think that's fine hun. Mine has always been around that and had it checked this week and it was 90/40 which I was told was 'perfect'. If you're unsure just ring andask your midwife but I think that sounds about right :D I don't have GD or anything either though. Dehydration can cause a drop in BP I think as can hot baths so not sure if thats any help?
