Hello

38 weeks pregnant with third child and been engaged since 34 weeks which I know is not common for subsequent pregnancies but I know a few people who were.

AAAAAAAnyway, last night I was woken constantly with a pressure in my pelvis and perenium, so strong like the baby was trying to get out. This morning when I got up I was so aware of the baby dropping even lower.

I have been walking like a cowboy all day with my legs wide apart - not a good luck. Just got back from Sainsburys in the car and I found it so hard to drive especially breaking so not more driving for me until after baby arrives I think.

I can not imagine hobbling around like this for two weeks or more, its very painful and walking about is really uncomfortable. I did not experience this kind of pressure with engagement with my other two.

Please tell me this means labour is almost here and not a fortnigh away. Its too much to bare.

Anyone else experience this kind of pressure and then went into labour soon after?

Thanks

With my third, that very pressure you are describing lasted 2 weeks for me and the bugger lasted until his due date..He was the biggest of the lot though, and the fastest to arrive! You must listen to your body though, and if at all possible, hard I know with 2 kids already, do your best to do bugger all. I am sending you big sympathies and hope labour is not too far off for you! And brrrrreeeeeeeaaaaaaaatttthhhhee!

AHHHHHH Devo - so sorry if you feel this bad cant you call MW?

was supposed to see mine today but due to snow i knew it wasnt going to happen, oh well and hopefully i wont have to see them until at the hospital!!!

sending you good labour vibes from me to you!
Did say the 15th but clearly thats way to long for you so i will understand if you have LO sooner - i so thought this being LO3 it would decide to come more sooner then this! "stubborn" just like Nanny!!

I also had this feeling much stronger with my 3rd. Not much encouragement sorry. I was imduced early so don't whether he would have arrived sooner or not! Sending some baby out vibes your way

thank you for your sweet messages. just realised i posted this thread twice - silly me!

my mw is coming to my house today because i'm booked for a homebirth so i'll mention it to her then and see what she suggests.

everytime i turned over last night it was SO painful and my lower back clicked? maybe a trip to an ostepoath would help.

Mama2b5 - i do hope we are soon!

I had that exact feeling with my last baby DS2. It felt like he was only just inside me! I sat on the loo thinking i needed to do a big poo and i ciuldn't poo for fear of the baby coming out.

That was at 1pm. By 3pm i had started to go into labour and he was born at 4.30pm!

So you never know.... x

Hi devotion,
Just to say my friend had this for a couple of weeks I think with her second (sorry!) but when he did arrive he shot out. So wishing you an easy labour to make up for the John Wayne-style walking x
