What do baby hiccups feel like?

I am in my third trimester with my first baby and have been feeling very rhythmical movements, almost like spasms, in the lower half of my belly. They are fairly quick, come at regular intervals and can last for a while (15 mins+). My friend suggested they may be baby hiccups. What do baby hiccups feel like? Worried that it may be something else, nearly called a midwife last night until the movements suddenly stopped.

My two used to get hiccups and they felt like tiny little regular flicks, which used to stop as quickly as they started. When I was told that's what they were I thought it was rather cuuuuute!!

May sounds exactly like baby hiccups to me.

I say that as my little one hiccuping away. He gets them throughout the day and he will stop after a bit.

Nothing to worry about though from what I gather it helps strengthen their muscles and reduces reflux or soemthing although i could be totally wrong!

Sounds like hiccups to me too - DD1 was terrible for this, and was a very hiccupy baby after she was born too. 'Twas very cute

Mine feel almost like a pulse, low down in my pelvis, but too slow to be my pulse. And too regular to be baby moving. I'm almost 33 weeks.

Sounds exactly right to me. I have had two very hiccupy babies during pregnancy. DS still had them a lot after birth, so I guess this one will too. I agree its cute - until they are sitting on your pelvis doing it when you are trying to get to sleep!

I've had this for the first time this week (33 weeks now) and it is exactly how I would describe it like a deep pulse. It is quite faint and weird but it must be hiccups.

Poor little man

Yes, hiccoughs... My dd1 carried right on after she was born and still gets quite a few now at 2 1/2! I thought it was really cute, too, until she was fully engaged - at which point it felt slightly strange so low down!!

yes they are def hiccipops as my DD says lol... my DS had them so much when i was preg n yh again i agree its so cute

at first I think it is just kicks but when it's rhythmic and repetitive I think oh no it's hiccups instead. I'm getting quite a lot and I'm 34w+5
