Anyone used eczema steroid creams in pregnancy?

I've been using Fucibet, Eumovate and Dermovate (last one just used for short periods). I'd really like to know if you observed any side effects in your baby. Fingers crossed for good news!

Yes he is allergic to milk, eggs, and fish - diagnosed before weaning due to the skin problems, so has never had them. He was always bf and me cutting all these foods out had no impact at all on the terrible skin. But bizarrely, the eczema doesn't seem that related to the allergies. His allergic reaction is classic immune - hives, wheezing, puking, and the skin seems to be separate. Eczema and allergies are all part of being "atopic" though. I guess it could be that the skin reaction is delayed.
Our consultant's advice is not to cut out any foods during pregnancy and to breastfeed the new one - but that is exactly what I did last time and so I guess it is down to genes.
Really glad your lo escaped and that you were able to figure out a causal link. It is worse than people realise caring for an itchy baby. You feel that you shouldn't make a fuss as it is not life threatening, but I was run down to the ground dealing with it - especially that I couldn't put him down or leave him with anyone as he would tear his face up if allowed to! I spent months holding him in a special lock down to stop the scratching, and he slept swaddled until nearly 1 year. But, I feel better prepared this time and know how to cope if I get another little scratcher!

I would recommend safe to use cream to reduce your itching rather than steroids especially in pregnancy. You may go amazon.com and search organic itch relief. it just worked for me.
