24 weeks - blurry vision in one eye...

.... thats about it really. I cant see properly out of one eye and its scaring me!

Anyone have any ideas?!

Get checked out at A&E, although it most probably is NOT, get blood pressure checked as it is (one) of the signs of Pre-Eclampsia

Any sudden decrease in vision should be checked out as soon as possible just in case. Hope everything is alright jabm.

not had it before no.... already spend 4 hours in a&e with dh today.... have i really got ot go agian?!

Oh dear, I know it's not what you would like, but it would be for the best to get it looked at. I'm assuming that it hasn't changed since you first noticed it.

I would get it checked sooner tbh, phine A and E or NHS direct first if you like and see what they say. But I wouldn't wait unless they tell you to do so.

Best to get it checked out today JM - why not ring the maternity ward for advice , they might let you go straight there for a check up instead of going to A&E.

Is it just blurry or have you got any dark patches in your vision?

It is more than likely stress but I really think you should go back to A&E and get it checked out, some things that have blurred vision as a symptom can be serious.

I mean serious for your eyes, not your pregnancy by the way. I have major eye problems and speak from experience. I really think you need to visit A&E rather than midwife so that you can cover all options.

blurry and funny floating bits accross the eye.... makes sense?!

Yes makes sense - please go to A&E. They are symptoms of detached retina (sorry) and you need to get it checked.

Don't wait for NHS direct. this could be a false alarm but it is a symptom of a detatched retina

If they say they are going to ring you back, then sod 'em and go to A&E straight away instead. Don't waste time please.

Take it from someone losing her sight - it is precious, don't mess with it.

jessica's mummy I don't mean to scare you but please go to A&E

when I was 32 weeks pg with DS I had blurry vision in one eye .. it was like I'd got cleanser in it and I couldn't clear it, an hour later I had a hemmorhage which knocked out the sight in that eye for about 8 months ..

go to A&E if you can't clear it

I was lucky I got back 99.9% vision but still have a small blind spot (very tiny)

Please, please, please (do I have to get down on my knees and beg?) go to A&E NOW.

Even my GP misdiagnosed my eye condition originally - and he was sat looking at me, not on the other end of a phone line. You need to be seen by an expert.

they had NEVER seen a case like mine before though .. it isn't usual.. so it might be something else but your eyes aren't worth hesitating about
