SaintGeorge · 03/07/2005 18:52

I'm sure everything will be fine - but at least you will get all us MN mother hens off your back by going and getting it checked out.

Don't let them just check out your pregnancy related worries though - you need a thorough eye exam as well.

Now, off you go .... don't let me have to tell you again cluck cluck

littlerach · 03/07/2005 18:52

I had this when pregnant with E and it ended up being a migraine, I've never had them before or since but had about 4 in a fortnight, then nothing. Quite like you describe, I was worried I'd fall downstairs as I couldn't focus. I had to lie down with curtains shut for an hour.

Hope you're ok, good luck at the walk in place.

Twiglett · 03/07/2005 18:52

what SaintGeorge said .. cluck, cluck, cluck

Twiglett · 03/07/2005 18:53

make sure they understand it was just one eye

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 03/07/2005 18:54

now getting ready to go - will report back asap

OP posts:
Twiglett · 03/07/2005 18:55

FIMAC1 · 03/07/2005 19:34

Good luck (and cluck cluck too!)

Let them know that you aren't feeling so good too

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 03/07/2005 19:43

been and got seen straight away. Think its probabyl just over-tiredness and possible migraine. BP 114/62 so no worries there. Have to take urine sample to docs tomorrow.

Thanks guys. Feel a lot more reassured.

edodgy · 03/07/2005 20:35

just to add i had those floaty type things in my eye when we were in the middle of moving house i also had a headache (i wasnt pregnant at the time) i panicked thinking i had all sorts but turned out it was dust behind my retina and optrex eye wash got rid of it and the headache was due to stress of moving and also because i was straining with the eye due to the floaters. Hope yours goes away soon.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 03/07/2005 20:49

thats reassuring, thanks x

Glad you went to get it checked out - we honestly weren't trying to scare you, just aware of what it could have been.

Now try and get some rest

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 03/07/2005 21:08

(I did check last night before bed but didn't have time to post)

AnotherHelen · 04/07/2005 12:19

Hiya jabm! i have this too and have done with my other 2 pregnancies too! this time its worse though i have spoken to my eye dr about it (have had previous problems with a torn retina) and he said it is very very comon for pregnant women to get headaches from increased blood flow and hormones etc etc and that also alot of women get small 'lumps' of protein in the jelly like substance that fills your eyes and when you move your eyes especially accross a plain light background like a white wall or similar you get funny little 'things' floating past your visual field - it is quite a worrying thing to experience! even when i was told what it was i was still a littel worried by it! and obvioulsy the headaches can make it worse. sorry if i have repeated what anyone else has said - hope i helped a little, and i hope you are ok!
Helen xxxx
