does anyone know how long after aving a baby you could still test positive for been pregnant e.g the pregnancy hormone still present from pregnancy you have just had?

I'm afraid I don't know for sure. I think hCG starts to fall in the second half of pregnancy so I'd expect it to be out of your system pretty quickly after the birth.

How old is your baby? If you are worried at all it would probably be bets to book an appointment with your GP.
