Morning all,

hopefully someone can offer some advice on this. im 32 wks and having a completely uncomplicated second pregnancy apart from SPD. but...

this morning after sex (gentle ) i have had some bleeding. its not a lot, just enough to notice on tissue paper and not enough to warrant a sanitary pad. so im terrified! do i need to phone my midwife? baby is still moving around quite happily but i have never had any bleeding like this before with this pg or my last.

Please help. im pretty shaken up.

any bleeding in pregnancy should really be checked even if its nothing it will put your mind at rest if youve been checked. i would ring your midwife and see what she says.

Get it checked, but it's probably just because of the sex. I had the same at about 24 weeks with first pregnancy, was more embarassed than worried to be honest, but they can quickly reassure you.

Bit of blood goes a long way so it always looks frightening, try not to panic.

It is probably just coming from your cervix, where it has been rubbed a bit (this is pretty common with pregnancy sex - the cervix bleeds more easily) but do get in touch with your hospital if you're worried.
