Bleeding at 5 weeks, when can I test again?

Started bleeding at 4+3, stopped a few days ago (am now 5+4 I think).

Obv no idea if still pg and can't have scan till 7 weeks even if EPU will allow me to (that's another story on my other thread).

Anyway. The waiting is driving me nuts and I have another CB Digi test. If I have mc'd, how long would it take the pg hormones to clear? If I waited till I hadn't bled in a week, would that be enough do you think?

It depends how far along you are as to how long it takes for HCG to leave your system after a mc. If your pregnancy stopped when you started bleeding, 8 days ago, then at only 4 weeks your HCG levels would almost certainly be undetectable by now. (If however you mc at 12 weeks it could easily take up to 35 days for your HCG levels to go back to zero.)

If you test and it comes up positive, then it may be helpful to try out one of those tests which tell you how many weeks pregnant you are. This should give you a clearer idea if your hormone levels are what you would expect around this point or not.

Thanks, that makes sense. Will leave it till Weds (won't have bled for a week by then) and test.

If it helps with my early miscarriages, I had negative tests on the first day of bleeding, with all but one of my early m/c's (6). So I would have thought buying a cheap test would be an idea and use that to confirm if it is negative now. Did you have cramping with the bleeding? Have you lost your pregnancy symptoms? If yes then it is likely that you would get a negative now. HTH

I started bleeding at around the same time as you were on a Friday. I tested again on the Monday with a CBD - negative.

Tested just now with a First Response and an ebay cheapie. Both BFN.

Granted had drunk loads of tea and soft drinks, but still, looks like that's it.

DH insisting on getting a CBDigi from the late night chemist, but pretty sure is a waste of time and money.

I think I'm going to be sick. I really thought we'd got away with it and things were going to be OK.
