I'm only 21+5 and this is my first baby and frankly I'm shitting myself. I've got thrush at the mo and after being examined by my GP on Wednesday he prescribe gyno-daktarin cream in a thin cardboard applicator. I've delierately not put it in far. But about 45mins after I inserted last nights one (the 3rd night) I went for a wee and felt like I was leaking uite a bit after. Perhaps the cream coming back out mixed with wee? (Sorry TMI really sorry). Anyway put on a pad and throughout the night I was dry despite going for a wee a couple of times. But this morning, got up, had my morning wee and feel reallyyyy damp down there. When I wipe its either dry or a bit of clear goop. Please tell me what to do. It's horrendoudly icy outside, not to mention a Saturday. I dont know what to do

Call your midwife or the antenatal ward right now.

Call the midwives number on your notes, there will be somebody there today. I think you will need to be seen by a doc or midwife.

Ok it's more than likely to be completely fine and is prob the cream as it dissolves and is mixed with cervical mucous. Also vaginal discharge increases in pg so that could be a factor.

I had what felt like a sudden loss of fluid at 15 wks with ds3, was scanned ?cervical shortening but all was fine - apart from me i was completely freaked! I continued to feel, ahem, damp throughout my pg which was apparently normal.

However, as ila says contact your midwife or assuming you ve had your 20 wk scan, delivery suite, they should ask you to go in and check you over. Good luck .

Yes call your maternity ward they have a swab thing that changes colour if it is amniotic fluid and will tell them either way and then put your mind at reast hopefully

Thanks everyone. I called the DAU who sent me to labour ward (bloody scary!) but they were fab. I was seen by a consultant within 15mins and got checked and everything is fine, cervix long and closed. They said its probably excess mucus from having thrush :S but all I can say is phew!
