More sympathetically, I looked huuuuuge at 8wks and then the bulge subsided.

Yes, thought I must be further on than I originally thought. But first scan showed me just over 10 weeks and big as a house.

with dc4 I couldn't get my trousers done up at 5 weeks pregnant.......

Top Tip: if, like me, you eat like a horse and grow a huge arse, bump does indeed look smaller.

I looked huge to begin with, then calmed down and then looked huge when I went overdue.

MWs still said 'not a big baby'. 10lb 14 later...

I am 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby and have a definite bump already!

I am 14 weeks pregnant with dc3, and was unable to do up my trousers about 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately we have had Christmas in between so who knows what is cake and what is baby. With my previous pregnancies I craved pretty healthy stuff, but this time i just want junk.

I have been keeping my trousers up with an elastic band, but today got some maternity trousers - phew.

I just can't wait for that moment when I 'pop', it seems to happen overnight, and suddenly I look pregnant rather than like an overstuffed sofa.

I was about to start a thread on this. With 2dcs already i've been eating through the sickness rather than giving in to it and losing half a stone like the last two times(i get very, very sick).

Haven't been able to wear my jeans since 6 weeks and it feels like my body is collapsing under the strain at 12weeks! I too was surprised to see 1 baby at the scan!

Does anyone know of any exercises you can do to make up for totally failing to complete your post natal ones?

I was huge very quickly with DC2. But this time with DC3 I'm not nearly as big, I'm still wearing my normal jeans and I'm 25 weeks. I'm not depressed this time around though so I'm not comfort eating!

yy sleighgirl I too was convinced it was at least twins but the MW felt my bump and said, no, only one baby there, just yr stomach muscles have gone!

I am 9 weeks with DC3 and can barely do my jeans up - yet due to sickness I have lost 10 pounds. Not sure how that works!

Hi, 11 weeks today and I'm wondering whether I can wait another week to let people at work know because my belly is rounded and totally there! Probably sticks out 1-2 inches further than my hip bones. It's my DC3 too
