I am 37 weeks and have been in hospital with a suspected blood clot, they discharged me yesterday and said i had an infection in vein.

My calfs and the top of my legs ache really bad through the night and didnt think to mention this when in hospital as the pain that made them think i had clot was a sharp pain. I was just wondering if anyone else gets really bad pains in their legs at night, or if its something i should be ringing the hospital about tomorrow?

I have just fell asleep for 2 hours with dd and woke up with bad aches in both calfs

I had this in the last trimester, not calfs but the tops of my legs and it really affected my sleep. The midwife didn't seem unduly concerned about it. I tried various ways of sleeping with pillows between my legs etc but nothing worked. The pain stopped as soon as DS was born.

It wouldn't hurt to give the hospital a call just to be on the safe side though.

I get really bad pains in my calfs and the tops of my legs at night and have done since about 25 weeks. It makes it really hard to sleep I wake evry hour and so turn on my other side and then get heart burn. Oh the joys of pregnancy!!! I do think its quite common but doesn't hurt to check it out.

this happens to be from time to time the pain is like ive been running on a treadmill in the gym, the pain is so bad i end up in the bath with hot water and radox, but it didnt help i just got in to my bed and pray i just fall asleep!
im also in my 37 weeks so its common maybe if youve been on feet for a long time!

i avoid anything that i will have to stand for a while like shopping in supermarket over the christmas period!nutssssss!

Good luck if concerned speak to MW

All down the side of my thighs hurt at night-time since I have been about 28 weeks.
I am guessing it is the extra weight pushing down when I lie on my side. I've tried shoving a pillow under my knees and between my legs to redistribute weight which provides a little relief. I'm tossing and turning to alleviate the pain.

Is this the kind of thing you mean?
