Pointless thread really

My trousers are too tight already. I am about 8 weeks ish pregnant with DC3. With both other pregnancies I didnt need maternity clothes until around 18 weeks. I have lost 10 pounds through sickness since I got pregnant.

I'm not giong to last until 20 weeks again without telling work am I

Anyone else feeling the strain?

Twins?!

belgo · 06/01/2010 09:48

Very normal!

Due to water retention and ligaments and muscles loosening - I was in maternity wear by 6 weeks with my third baby!

belgo · 06/01/2010 09:48

or triplet

DarrellRivers · 06/01/2010 09:50

So true about preg 3
Have felt so so so so so much bigger than ever before
I managed to just look fat until about 14 weeks whereas before i think i would have got away with it until 20w

peppapighastakenovermylife · 06/01/2010 09:55

Anyone want one if it is triplets?

Yes most probably my complete lack of muscle tone. Am not going to think what stomach will look like once I have given birth...

I'm having to wear longish tops to hide the fact that mt top button is undone. I'm only 6 weeks.

Could be two weeks of lounging about eating though.

Ah well, back to work tomorrow.

I'm loving the maternity trousers as I've got the ones that have a big elastic bit over my tummy. Its keeping me warm!!

fernie3 · 06/01/2010 13:34

I am 9 weeks with my fourth and my trousers are tight, I dont look pregnant but my tummy looks and feels really bloated already. I have been much sicker this time and I think half of the bloating is because of that plus the fact the only thing I can drink is ice cold lemonade!

tjtheminx · 06/01/2010 18:05

I'm just 12 weeks on number 2. Supposed to be working from home today but reorganising the house after the Christmas break. Threw on a long sleeve t shirt and trakkie bottoms for the first time in weeks... can't believe the size of my belly. It's huge. Miles bigger than I was at 20 even 26 weeks the last time.
OK it is mostly fat but it's hard and up against my ribs. God help me... another 28 weeks to goI'm going to be massive

emsyj · 06/01/2010 18:53

I split my jeans yesterday . Yup, JEANS. Imagine how big you have to be to split denim. This is my first pregnancy, but I'm 17+3 so hoping that makes it okay... Must be a girl, since all my weight gain appears to be on my bum.

2andcounting · 06/01/2010 19:57

u could have written this thread about me! dc3, 8 weeks-ish- am glad its just after christmas as can just blame over eating! otherwise id have to tell my work! also have a theory its more hormone related than muscle tone related- anyone else agree? dd1 (now 2.6) didn't show til about 6months, tummy muscle returned to meeting straight after birth in hospital. dd2 (now 10months)showed at about 6days (honestly!) but after birth tummy muscles joined up again straight away too. maybe just wishful thinking that same will happen again...

ooopsididitagain · 07/01/2010 11:24

Dc5 and my trousers are tight at 5wks!! Putting it down to being at home eating crap over christmas and fluid retention. Better had be anyway - twins or triplets would just about finish me off!

peppapighastakenovermylife · 07/01/2010 11:49

I'm ebaying them if its more than one. I am going for fluid retention - or perhaps the fact that things grow more quickly and push everything else up out of the way?
