Weight gain slowing towards the end...

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if it's normal for your weight gain to slow down towards the end of the pregnancy? I'm 35 weeks, just weighed myself this morning as it's been a couple of weeks since I checked, and I don't seem to have gained anything in that time. I'm surprised as my bump seems bigger.

Baby is constantly wriggling and I feel fine other than that. I'm not eating loads (not sure if I get to the plus 300 cals every day) but doing very little exercise so holding onto it all!

FYI: I started out at 9st 3lbs and am now 10st 8lbs.

Cheers

It honestly doesn't matter what you weigh - the baby will get whatever it needs, no matter how much you do or don't eat

Im 36 weeks pg and am not putting much weight on now either.

I cant seem to eat much now and have lost my appetite. I spoke to the mw about this and she said the baby will take what she needs from you anyway, it will just leave you feeling like crap!

I do have chocolate in the house though and will have some if I fancy it

I didn't put on any weight in my last trimester with my last pregnancy, maybe 1lb for the whole 10 weeks or whatever it is. My baby was almost 7lbs and fit as a fiddle. I'm in my third trimester again now and the same seems true, but on about 16lbs in 1st and 2nd, and now nothing. No sweat, like dibbler said the baby will get what it needs.
