Will they give me an early section if plug has gone?

I am 36+4. I am booked in for a section for 39 weeks, I have gestational diabetes and had pre-eclampsia in previous pregnancy and baby was born at 36 weeks. I have been in hospital last week with protein in urine and upper abdo pain but bp was ok so sent me home after protein had gone.

I have been to hospital today as thought waters leaking and they have had a look and said my mucus plug had gone. I am going back tomorrow for a scan to check water level.

If my plug has gone do you think they will section me early? I have split abdominal muscles and am in pain everytime the baby moves, and just want the baby now

I could be wrong, but I dont think the plug alone will determine if the date of the section is moved forward. They will check the levels of the amniotic fluids. If they are still ok, I am inclined to think they will leave you be.

But be prepared with your hospital bag just incase. If they think fluid levels are low, they will most likely admit you there and then.

Good luck. I too am willing for waters to break as they did with DS. Otherwise one more week to wait until csection date.

I am just so sick now and want baby here x I will just wait and see how the water level is tomorrow. They said last week when i got admitted with protein that if that didnt go they would section from wednesday when i was 37 weeks so just thought they might have done it early with plug going.
