36+3 days and got pain on left side for a few hours now like a bad stitch.

Third baby and labour for me usually starts with period like pain at the bottom of belly that spreads upwards.

About 2.30pm when out walking (slowly ) this pain on my left side of my belly started like a stitch it slowed my walk down even more and lasted a few minutes.

Then since then I've had it about another four times since I got home 20 minutes ago and now its just happened again.

Is this something to worry about? Not sure if its just alot of stretching and preparing going on in ther. I dont want to be over reacting but dont remember this with other pregnancies.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm no medical expert so this will only be an idea... but could it be wind/bowels? Since the distending colon is on the left side, this is where I usually suffer sharp/stitch like pains. Or maybe is it a tightening like BH? If you are worried, can you call the midwife?

I was going to call the midwife if they got closer, dont want to over react.

Maybe it is my bowels but i go twice a day and dont feel the need.

I just thought it was strange to just be on one side, normally my BH make my whole belly go hard.

The stitch is the whole left side of my belly.

I just want to get to 37 weeks for my homebirth and hope it is wind!
