12 week scan, worrying myself sick.

Ive got my 12 week scan next Tues and i am just so so worried about it.

I keep thinking they will give me terrible news, ive had near to no symptoms at all and really worried i lost the baby weeks ago and i just dont know it.

Please can someone reassure me, has someone else had no symptoms but received good news at the scan?

Yeah I can imagine it must be really hard when you have a reminder.
Yeah lol kids do say funny things my niece and nephews say funny things all the time and i cant wait to have that myself.
Ohh maybe if im not showing yet it means im having a small baby lol (wishful thinking).

well all ya can do is wait n see bout the size lol... yh my DD is sooo funny n my DS is abit of a clown.. just been planning their double birthday party on the 23rd jan.. expensive but gonna be great...

i had really bad guts last night n was in agony cuz me bein sick too much i think i'm a little dehydrated i bled a lil too which has scared me. seein mw 2mo to get checked over so gonna just rest today. dont wanna bother her unnessisary u see. only 1 day to wait.. my scan is whoop whoop 2 days away now but gettin increasingly worried..

I'm in a similar position. My 12 week scan is in a week and a bit and I'm horribly worried that there'll be nothing there. Last night I had a horribly vivid dream that the scan showed that the baby was actually a cat.

I guess I'm having kittens!

booked a magician with a live rabbit.. made invitations last night which took me 6hrs to do but my DS said they were better than shop ones so worth it.. theres only approx 20 children plus adults comin so gonna be manic

i'll let u know how scan goes.. mw for bloods in the morning aarrggghhh (but hopefully get to hear a heartbeat) fingers crossed

It seems to be so much bigger by about 5pm though! But even in the morning it looks bigger so there is def something there.

Aww the party sounds like great fun, they'll love it! 6 hrs on invitations is pretty hardcore! They better all turn up now lol.

I had bloods taken at the hosp just after i had the scan, im glad they do it after the scan cos i was just so happy seeing the pic that i barely registered she was taking blood.

was dissapionted with my mw today.. she took bloods but no blood pressure. i told her how much my tummy hurt with bein sick etc n she didnt even look at me or check to see if i'm ok.. my next app isnt till 17th feb
she didnt check for heart beat or anything. i just felt abit fobbed off and my DP said she didnt seem interested at all n just rushed me through.. Do you know if they supposed to do all obs every visit??

i got a scan n more bloods in the morning which i not looking forward to.. fingers crossed baby is ok.. i may call for a docs app to check my stomach out bein she didnt care booohooo lol

I did think that the mw was meant to check obs at every visit, i thought that was the point of seeing a mw, and to discuss any worries you have, which she obv didnt seem too interested in i think id feel the same as you, def go and see your doc if your concerned,my doc is so lovely and she said to always go and see her cos once the mw has got hold of the mum they hardly ever go and see their doc about things.

My next mw app is on 27th Jan, my mw is ok but a bit scatty and kind of feels like im just another pregnant woman in her long list, she thought I was called Sarah the other day (im not lol).

ROFL @ ya tishtosh - I think you "admitted" what just about everyone feels - that maybe we're making it all up and there's "no baby"!!

I admitted this to my DH the night before our 12 week scan on Monday last, and he thought I was nuts - and so did I - this thread made me feel SO much better, so thank you!!!

i going to speak to the antenatal at the hospital 2mo about it. may enquire if i can get a different mw. i'll give her 1 more chance and if she the same i will get a different one.

Roll on 12noon 2mo when i get to my scan and i know all is ok... not looking forward to more bloods though!

today was great and busy lol
scan went great i'm 13wks.. such a wriggler.. will put scan up soon bit tired this eve he/she even turned n waved lol

my MW WAS supposed to do my checks yest.. spoke to another mw who did it 4 me. says i may have a bladder infect which cud be reason 4 tummy pain! all tests bak monday(ish lol)

i am actually under consultant care from 20 wks at the hosp, so checks with doc aswell as community mw, due to previous little problems so i'm so much more relaxed
she was great n explained alot.

my DD n DP loved the scan, she came in with us can relax so much more. my Due date is 22nd july again lol

Oh im so glad it all went well for you your a tiny bit behind me im 13+5 today due on 18th July.

I got my downs syndrome results through today the risk is low which is a great relief.

I cant wait til my next scan i really want to see the baby again and find out if its a girl or boy.

Im very happy for you that its all ok now we can enjoy our pregnancies

Yh we are so happy now knowing all is ok. he/she kept moving around so did a full 360 hehe
my DD thought seein the baby was wonderful.. 67mm long already seems hard to believe.

Great news bout your downs results, i get mine on mon i hope.

we arent finding out what we havin, leaving it a surprise if we can

Spoke to a MW at the hospital... she said YES the MW i saw on wed should of talked to me more and done my obs etc..
she checked my urine n i have something in it so she thinks i may have a infection so waitin on that result mon too.. MY MW didnt even check so i'm not happy with her. Oh and found out by the hospital MW i am under consultant care from 20 wks (i have appointments with a doc at the hospital from 20wks aswell as the community mw due to previous problems in pregnancy etc, feel relieved knowing this.. so much for my mw telling me all this. i should get all blood results etc 2mo.

I have my first scan tomorrow! Very excited/nervous. Can't wait to be told everything is wonderful and then show off my little baby picture to everyone but then on the other hand if all is not well I have no idea how I will cope with the news at all. good luck on your scan 2mo.. i'm sure everything will be fine and you'll come away more relaxed n so happy knowin all is ok. i have had 'the bad news b4' and its hard to deal with but somehow you do.. but i did have alot of complications with that pregnancy so dont let that worry you!

I'm quite positive that everything should be fine, nothing to suggest otherwise anyway. I've had no cramps or shows of blood at all or anything like that and plenty of sickness which I've been given the impression is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy, even if I feel rubbish!

I'll make sure I let you all know, and get my little picture up on my profile too!

oh yh thats fine.. my DS was big for my frame weighing 7llb 8 but my DD was only 6llb 3 so smaller. they put most of their weight on from now onwards a few mm isnt anything to worry bout. be lucky hun he/she maybe smaller than my 1st

on pics didnt say a link but u can try again. if you cant see i dunno why lol..

yh i am well.. apart from i couldnt eat my DP's dinner he cooked for me. i liked it but hmm baby didnt agree hahaha

I managed to see your scan photo today! How sweet it really did move around alot hehe! I think mine was asleep when we went it stayed in the same position lol.

Oh yeah the party is nearly upon you! It must be bedlam trying to organise something like that, bet its rewarding seeing the kids faces though.

Im fine, felt a bit sick last night in bed, I ate so much yesterday and my stomach was threatening to burst out my jeans but by the time I went to bed I felt starving hungry again which is when I feel sick but I dont want to keep eating as I dont want to put on a tonne!

Also was just wondering, I noticed on your profile your a housewife, what do you do during the day when your children are at school? I have found myself out of a job and really dont know what to do with myself during the day while DP is at work its starting to drive me insane!

normally during the day i do fun things with my DD as you need eyes at the back of your head with her.. she terrible at raiding the fridge or drawing on walls the sofa etc the sec your back is turned.. proper lil minx but so cute n cheeky when she does it.. but since i been sick with this baby i havent had much energy to do anything so just sat on the net or cleaning boooo n my sis pops round on her days off too.. drivin me nuts atm not actually seein many people due to weather so a bit lonely for adult chat lol

me n my man just argue atm which is frustrating, he called me selfish today! my DS told him he should take him to school and my Feller said.. i'm not ur slave.. which i went mental at!!! my DS only said it because i threw up a whole glass of water first thing!! and cuz i had a go when got back from takin DS i'm selfish! men hey! lol

when ur baby is here you'll find loads to do.. baby groups, weigh in clinics.. and with my kids i taught myself how to make their own dinners.. cheaper than jars, tinned or powdered food.. my DC ate better than me when i was weaning them lol.. kezia loved apple,pear n vanilla for pudding n broccoli carrot n sausage meat for dinners theres so many to learn.. then if not doin all that chillin n napping when i could. your heath visitor you get when you have your angel will tell you whats about in your neighbourhood for you do do.. i did baby massage which was good.

Its horrible when ur not feelin good i know how that feels.. i'm fed up with feelin awfull.. i always feel starving even 10 mins after i've eaten.. hope u feel better today.

as for party i feel guilty today as i cant help but feel like i'll be glad when its over hope i feel better for the 20ish kids comin lol... only party food, bags and decs 2 get now. My DD is 3 2mo so havin a lil family tea party.. my feller wont be there as he gotta go see his son who havin his tonsils out wed morn.. not happy he spendin 2 days with his ex tho!!!

had blood results bak and they said normal but didnt explain what was normal or anything bout my urine tests which the other mw was worried about.. she said i look anaemic but results normal so confused.. made a docs appointment for wed to go over it all..

Yeah my sister doesnt live too far away, she has 3 DC's, 2 are at school and the youngest is nearly 2. I could go and see her at some point its been a week and half since I saw her.

Im going to see my mw at the Sure Start Centre next week and the first time I went there the lovely receptionist made me feel v welcome and gave me literally hundreds of leaflets! One of those was for baby massage. They seem to do alot for pregnant women as well as after the birth so def will look into those classes in more detail when i go there next week.

I hope you and your partner resolve things its never nice being in a constant mood with them, tempting as it is!

Im sure the party will be a big success, shame your partner wont be there to share the fun though, I think I would feel the same as you if mine spent 2 days with his ex!

Glad your results are normal. Cant remember if i said I got my downs results back and it was 1 in 30,000 chance which is very reassuring

sure start are brilliant thats where i learnt alot about babies etc when i had my DS. they are very friendly and i cant wait till i go there again.. i am not sure where my nearest one is.. hmmm may google it now lol..

i h8 his ex cuz shes banned me seein his kids. for NO reason. prob jealous cuz we happy n havin a baby but i not allowed anything to do with them.. but she just met a man online n plannin to get married in a few months.. she only met him once!! i couldnt even put my name on the xmas presents we bought for em!

my dp will be there for the big party tho which i'm glad just not my DD birthday tea party.

for some reason i cant drink milk the past few weeks as i'm sick... how strange lol

Hiya!!! All is healthy and good!! 11 wks and 2 days so fairly accurate with dates! only 2 days out from where community midwife said!! Due 7th august! V v excited! will get pic up later when I get home! Still out and about! Been showing baby off! Hope your bloods came back ok smilerjane and all good with you tish. Will read previous posts properly on laptop, too fiddley on phone!! This has taken me ages to type!!
