Overdue!

I am now 41 weeks and 5 days making me 12 days overdue!

I had a membrame sweep done 2 days ago and it was really painfull! i bled alot after and also yesterday i had what i can describe as snot come away from me that was blood stained!

They have said about taking me in wednesday to be induced, im scared about what this intails and what i have to look forward too. Any information would be really helpfull

sounds like you have had a show - that is good (blood stained snot)

things may be moving so you may avoid induction

I went into labour a couple of days after my show with DS

i had a show and then a sweep with DD and had her 7 hours later

As above hopefully you will avoid induction but it you dont, here is what happened to me.

I was induced with ds1. because i was having very small irregular contractions (i couldnt feel them but they were showing up on the monitor), they tried breaking my waters to start labour but it made no difference so i was put on a drip. and although it did what was intended, its not thequick fix its made out to be! i was still in labour for 20hours.

it was also very intense until they got the drip under control. which didnt take long to be fair, but when its so sore it could have been an eternity. and i still ended up in theatre having an emcs under general anaesthetic.

If you do end up being induced ask as many questions as it takes to put your mind at rest-its their job.
