Just canvassing opnions-it's bloody hard to choose a baby name!

Girl:

Ysolde (ee-zol-duh) too unusual? Or Ysolde (ee-zold)

Vera - too old fashioned? I like it as we're eastern european and it is also a name in other language

Boy:

Martin/ Martyn

Oscar/ Oskar

Thank You in advance for opinons- I won't be offended by other's opinions (well unless the intent is to offend!)

Problem with Ysolde might be that when people see it written they will not be sure how to pronounce - not sure if thats a problem for you.

I want to give my child an unusual name but its a requirement of mine that it will be easy to pronounce based on the spelling. For example one name i considered was Ido (he was a minor prophet in old testament) its pronounced EE-doe but DH thinks too much potential for mispronounciation.

I prefer Martin to Oscar.
I know too many people who have called their cats Oscar to think of it as a name for a baby boy!
