Bigger, quicker in third pregnancy!!!!

I'm only 23 weeks pregnant and my bump is HUGE!!! I haven't really gained a lot of weight on the rest of my body (i.e. arms, legs and bum)but I am a bit alarmed at the size of my bump......I am sure that I was much much smaller in my previous pregnancies - in fact I remember barely being into my maternity clothes!!! EEk - does this mean I am growing a monster and will be the size of a house by the time I get to term!!!!!

Yup! Happened here too.

I grew a bump at about 8-9 weeks, grew fatter and fatter, but you will be reassured that I am now 37 weeks pg, measuring 1 week under what I should. Baby isn't huge at all, just average from what the scans have been showing.

However, I have put some serious weight on my bum, and have grown a very interesting quadruple chin (but that won't stop me from eating all the Ferrero Rochers).

I can remember people looking quite alarmed when they asked me when DC3 was due and were told - 'in about 3 months'. I obviously looked ready to go!

DC3 was the earliest and smallest of my babies at 5 days late and 8lbs 1oz.

I am 23 weeks as well with DC#3 and I haven't told work yet!!!! Will have to tell them right after Xmas before 25 week deadline! Was the same with DD and DS.

Have no bump just look fatter than normal. Haven't dub out maternity clothes but wearing skirts not trousers, as trousers too tight.

I wonder why? I think might be in part to due stomach muscles - ie mine are holding baby in?

Don't think its necessarily due to size of baby so don't worry about monster though in last preg I was small and was told it was small baby - he was 7lbs 14oz and SIL was massive told it was HUGE baby he was exactly 8lbs so the size difference between them was pretty minimal.

Im 35 weeks pg with dc and was massive until recently. I seem to have stopped growing a bit now and am measuring 2 weeks small.

I was in maternity clothes at 8 weeks!

That's good to know i am not alone, and that I will probably end up the same size in the end....its just a bit annoying as I'm quite a tiny person (size 6 - 8 normally) so the big bump looks a tad ridiculous against the rest of my frame....truly a comedy bump! Having a short waist probably doesn't help as my babies don't have much room to stretch out, and this one is probably taking advantage of my lack of tummy muscles from the last pregnancies and spreading "out" literally...!!!
