Been trying for no. 3 for a few months and thought it might not happen very quickly as I'm 38. DD was IVF, then DS was natural, and no. 3 is now too. Am 3 days late, but cycle has been all over the place since DS. The stick was barely out of the packet before the lines showed up.

So excited! Have told DP, who is in shock, but feeling studly and virile too.

Just had to talk to others about it while it sinks in...

girlsyearapart · 23/12/2009 09:06

congratulations! I'm almost 8 weeks with number 3 so we can join in the madness of having a third together!

Lastyearsmodel · 23/12/2009 09:16

Thanks, people. I've managed the double - pregnant and not drinking over Christmas AND will be pregnant and huge through the hottest part of the summer.

Girlsyearapart Congratulations to you too! How are you feeling? What are your age gaps? 21m between DD and DS, then DS will be 2y5m if all goes well.

DOROTHYP · 23/12/2009 17:31

peacocks · 23/12/2009 17:37

Congrats. Will it be a September baby or August?

littlemiss72 · 23/12/2009 17:38

Congrats! Know the feeling Dorothyp it doesn't feel real. I have some sort of feeling going on inside me which is a little reminder however I'm scared to! Going to tell OH on Christmas Eve although I've been as moody as hell so I think he has a good idea

peacocks · 23/12/2009 17:38

Just a suggestion ..keep your legs tight shut till September if you can! It will be worth it a hundred times!

DOROTHYP · 23/12/2009 17:41

Doctor says he thinks end of August. Ive only told my husband so far he wanted to tell the world but theres a bit of me thats cautious. In a way you cant keep it to yourself but part of me doesnt believe it yet

littlemiss72 · 23/12/2009 17:41

OMG really.. due 27/08

starshaker · 23/12/2009 17:41

congrats i got my bfp on friday and am feeling the double whammy as well. But if you think about it its really a triple cos we have to get through new year as well

littlemiss72 · 23/12/2009 17:44

I've told no one yet.. been working hard so tried to keep focused. I think I'll just tell my close friend and OH for now and then wait and see how I feel in the NY just to be on the safe side. Like you I'm also feeling a little cautious right now, need to let it all sink in.

DOROTHYP · 23/12/2009 17:44

Im not sure Ill be able to keep it quiet for long. I dont feel much different Im not sure what I was expecting. It is early days though

littlemiss72 · 23/12/2009 17:48

I'm feeling quite bloated and my little boobies hurt like hell.! I guess we should sit quietly in the corner and let the christmas spirit wash over us lol

DOROTHYP · 23/12/2009 17:55

I feel tired but Im not sure if im just milking the pregnant lady thing! Tell your other half, youll need him in the next few months. You do need a bit of time to get used to the idea yourself though, it does feel overwhelming as well as exciting.

minimouse88 · 23/12/2009 17:59

Aw bless you - well done and happy christmas!

littlemiss72 · 23/12/2009 18:06

He fly's home tonight so will see home tomorrow, didn't want to blurt it out on the phone I want to see his face hehe. We've talked about it loads over the past couple of months, I know he'll be excited! I don't feel at all tired, in fact I've been getting up quite early in the mornings..I'm guessing that might change. Get all the sleep you can I say x
