what are the signs baby has engaged?

hey
im 36weeks pregnant baby was breach from 30-34weeks and then turned about a week and half ago, my midwife wanted me to do excercises on the birthing ball to get him engaged as she was worried he'd turn again. what are the signs/feelings hes engaged? when i stand up i feel really heavy in my pelvis and just below my bikini line there is a hard bump, is this his head? i havent been going to the toilet more often but then again i went loads anyways lol. i cant sit up straight because it hurts 'down there' and getting off the sofa is quite a struggle now as it is kind of painful.
if he has dropped/engaged, hes turned and dropped in the past 2weeks, does this mean i will go into labour at any day?

DD was fixed and engaged for 8 weeks before I went into labour. So yes you can go into labour any day but that's true with or without an engaged baby.

For the last 8 weeks the only sure sign that dd was engaged was her pressing on a nerve down there. It sent regular shooty pains down my leg!
