Hoping someone can help - even if it's just handholdng.

Last pregnancy ended at 6 weeks.

Am 8 week today and had some bright red blood when I wiped after going to the loo. Also have some abdo pain, a bit like I need to poo (sorry - TMI!)

The thing is we had a early scan on Thursday evening which showed a bean in the right place with a good heartbeat.

Part of me desperately wants to think that my baby can't die and leave my body in just 48 hours.

Anyone able to give me any hope or should i prepare for another mc.

sending hugs and sticky vibes, handholding, and a bit of my experience, I had bleeding at around that time after I had seen a nice little heartbeat, and all was fine, couldn't explain the bleeding at all, anyway am now 25+1 weeks and have a healthy little boy on board......try not to worry and put your feet up, hope everything is ok for you

Thanks hoops, congrats on your little boy. I can only hope I have the same outcome

positive thinking is what got me through and also taking one day/week at a time, I click over another week on a friday so I starting counting down the days til fridays and it helped me mentally( I sound mental, don't I)

Go for a scan asap or see if they can check your cervix at a and e if bleeding gets heavier.
Sending you lots of positive vibes, lots of women say they bleed around this time and go on to have baby. Hoping everything will be fine for you. x

Staying positive is order of the day here - thanks both.

It seems to have eased a bit, if it gets worse I'll go to A&E otherwise it will be the GP for me first thing on Monday. Don't see the point of going through the stress of A&E / out o hours when I won't get scanned until next week anyhow. (and I know it's not ectopic)

I'm sure pregnancy is supposed to be a joyous time

Op - sorry you're going through this. Can you call your Early Pregnancy Unit for some advice? IMO, much better than A&E or your GP.
I really hope thing work out ok for you.

ThumbleBells · 19/12/2009 11:14

really? I am technically just under 8w pg, and today had quite a lot of blood, assumed I had lost it - am going to the hospital tomorrow (tis late night here in Australia) but haven't had a scan yet - is there really a chance I might still be pg? [hopeful emoticon]
Mind you, I am still having gripey periody type pains at the mo, so not too hopeful

Hi,try and hang in there. All sounds quite familiar. My 1st preg ended at 6 weeks.2nd had implantation bleeding, had an early scan for reassurance, then bled for 3 days, doc on call said when i rang in a bit of state rather than rush anywhere meaning more stress , lie down and do nothing for 48hrs,nature will decide but felt like i was helping a bit.Thankfully eased off but did'nt like being scanned, small bleed after 20wk scan as well.Little madam is now 2 and no2 due next week.Wishing u all the best, and maybe a little hope.

tigerbear · 22/12/2009 00:28

Hi ThumbleBells - how are you? Did you go to the hospital the other day? Hope you're ok.

ThumbleBells · 22/12/2009 03:50

tigerbear, thanks for asking - I ended up being admitted with threatened MC, which turned into MC proper yesterday, so by the time I eventually got my scan, there was nothing to see.

The only bright spot is that the HCG levels plummeted so hopefully it is a complete MC - have to get checked again on Christmas Eve to be sure, but yes, that's it, try again next year.

JinglingJamie I hope your news is better than mine.

Buckler · 22/12/2009 10:56

Thumblebell i am so so sorry. Hope you have got someone to look after you. Sending you hugs.

OP I could have almost written that post myself. 8 wks today and bleeding/cramping since yesterday. Had scan showing all well and heartbeat only last thursday. Last two pregnancys mc at around 5 weeks. MS stopped abruptly yesterday lunchtime. What on earth could have happened so suddenly.

I have a epu appt for a scan in the morning.

JunglingJamie hope you have had good news by now.
