Hi all,
For a variety of reasons I have booked to have an early anomoly scan next monday to (hopefully) help reassure me before christmas that so far so good with this pregnancy. I was originally just going to have a gender scan but have changes my mind and asked for an anomoly scan.

My counsellor was really funny about me going there when I talked to her about it yesterday and was quite aggressive saying that I should be going to the fetal medicine center on Harley Street if I am going to had an anomoly scan.

To be honest, my dh is funny about me having it done anyway as he figures that if there is something wrong we will spend all christmas worrying with no support. I know this is a possibility but I just cant face christmas without it.

I am just considering this as an early check up (will be 18+5) with the knowledge that I will have a VERY thorough scan at Kings when I am 22w.

Has anyone been to baby bond? Were they ok or were they complete numpties?
I am going to the city branch as its near dh work...

Any thoughts would be very gratefully appreciated.

I had a gender scan at 16weeks and I cant stress enough how lovely they were to us both. We were first told that our baby is a girl then she just let us watch the screen for a good 10mins before giving us a 5min preview of her in 4d which was amazing. I can't wait for our NHS 20week scan on New Years Eve, feels like forever! So may just book in for another babybond

Gender scan at 21 weeks with them and they were lovely. I know it was a frivolous scan rather than a medical check up but it was very relaxed, lots of time to see what we wanted to see and just watch dd. They were a bit chaotic as we were the first appt on Sat morning and they were running in putting on lights and setting up but it was very friendly chaotic That was the Staines one btw.

Hi,

I had 3 scans (early pregnancy, NT scan and gender scan) and they were always lovely with us. They never rushed things and we always had time to look to our baby (and cry ), and the sonographer explained some of the things she was looking at. I had mine in Scotland.

Good luck with everything

Mine was great too - they spend ages going over the whole baby with you, pointing out things like nose, fingers etc, and seem to let you 'enjoy the moment' whereas the NHS can feel a bit conveyor-belt imho.

we had a gender scan at baby bond at about 21/22 weeks and they were lovely and really took their time to show us in detail baby's bits and we got a very quick 4d view + she measured baby's foot which i loved

We had an early scan at 10 weeks after some bleeding and they were really lovely with us. Pointing out different things and just letting us watch our little bean wriggle around for a while The sonographer did a thorough check for us and we were able to go away on our holiday the next day feeling very reassured and happy

couldn't recommend babybond more! i had a gender scan at 22 weeks and they told me the weight of the baby and really reassured me that everything was going well!
its so relaxed and they answered all the daft questions i had forgotten to ask my nhs sonographer.

good luck xx

Thank you all so much. I am feeling a bit more positive about it now. I just hope that all is ok with our little splodge.
