Hi all,
I'm just wondering if there is anyone around expecting identical twins? My girls are due officially in 1st week of March, but I'll be 36 weeks on Feb 6th and will be having a C-section then at the very latest...
Am now coming up to 29 weeks and therefore over some of the scariest bits (miscarriage threats, twin to twin transfusion risk etc) but now into the worry stage about growth restriction and premature labour!
We will be going to our 9th scan on Monday - hopefully will get a nice "all clear" for Xmas so we can relax...
Be great to talk to anyone in the same position?
xx

I am - but nearly at the end of the pregnancy journey. My C-Section is booked for next Wed (35+6)... although currently having a few doubts as to if I am in early labour right now (eek, hopefully just the mega bad braxton hicks!).

I had my last scan today - I think that brings my total to 20! I was fortnightly but then we had fluid problems/suspected TTTS and were moved to weekly. Both twins doing fine now though and (unless this is labour) look to be on course for nearly 36 weeks - both now measuring large for singletons

It's been a pretty full on journey - so much so that I now can't believe that only next week we are going to be a family of 5 - haven't really allowed myself to think that far ahead!

Wishing you loads of luck and resilience over the next trimester - I am huge and these last days are sloooooooow - am on bed rest with a disability - but even if I wasn't I don't know how anyone this big and breathless could move, so make the most of it whilst you still can!

My identical twin girls are due on the 18th March. I want a natural birth and have had this cleared with the consultant, but I'm worried about having a really prem birth.

I've had my Christmas clear scan and everything looks fine - good luck with yours!

Hi,

I am pg with a singleton this time but had ID twins last time (now 2 and a half years old)
I just wanted to say good luck and hope it goes well.

Thanks ladies!
I'm really worried about premature labour as well.... I keep getting really uncomfortable 'tight' feelings across my bump, but they last for minutes at a time rather than seconds, and don't really feel like cramps.....
Weegle - good luck I hope you last til next Wed! Let us know...
Pixie - good luck with the rest of your pg, message me if you want to chat...
and thanks Abubu - good luck with your pg!
xx
