hi i am now 22 weeks with my 3rd baby at my 20 week scan i was told i had a low laying placenter and have to hhave anther scan at 32 weeks an may have to have a cs i asked the middwife about it and she said mine is very low right over were the baby comes out sence the scan i have been realy stressed out as i cant stand hospitls and also i worried about doing any thing as iv read you can hemrige any one no how likeky a realy low laying placenta at 20 weeks is going to move

Try and be calm.... it might move, and if it does you'll be able to have a normal birth. Don't google it and worry yourself.

If it doesn't well you'll have a CS. Just be very thankful for modern medicine becuase before scans and safe operations women (and their babies) died in childbirth because of this....

Just by seeing threads on here, it seems many do move in time.
Mine didn't and I had to have a c-section. Which was fine, I recovered quickly and was out very soon.
As MumNW says, we're lucky nowadays.

on my second laber i hemriged my plasenter was on the side but i still hemriged for some reson but i sighnd my self out after a few hour my worries are i panick in hospitls and also worride about hemrigeing from what iv read ...how long do they keep you in with a cs do you think if i told them about my phobea they may let some one stay with me well iam in there

I had a low lying placenter too but when I went for my 32 week scan it had moved up right out the way. I can't remember the percentage exactly but my sonographer told me that a really high proportion of low lying placenters actually end up moving up, so there is a good chance you have nothing to worry about... Good luck!

I think every other pregnant woman I speak to at the moment has this. including me. Scan in the new year to see if it has moved.

I really wouldn't stress about it until then, I understand the vast majority to do move.
