Pineapplechunks · 16/12/2009 14:32

Yeah, full if I remember.

Full. It's full for the second scan too, which I didn't realise and went to the loo just before I went in. I had to go sit in the waiting room and drink and drink and drink before having another scan.

I think it depends on the machinery they've got though - with DD it didn't matter, but in my current pregnancy (at a different hospital) it was full for the 12 week scan.

Thank you ladies. I prefer to ask here rather than calling the hospital when they know its your second baby they think you should know it all!

Full , but they might ask you to have a little wee if they scan and see it is too full !

I had to do that once -

Full, but be careful in the waiting room, because if they are running late you will end up feeling really uncomfortable!!

heth1980 · 16/12/2009 18:14

They say full but for every scan I've been to they've been running over an hour late and I've had to go for a wee.......it didn't seem to matter and they didn't say anything.

If it's a modern machine, it doesn't matter. Older machines require a full bladder. Calling to see what kind of equipment they have could save you a lot of drinking!

full...just looked at my letter and im required to drink one and a half pints an hour before appointment...i hate it tho, its so uncomfortable!!
