Just had a positive home pregancy test. Delighted, but dont really know what the next step is? Presuming I just make an appointment with my normal GP? x

Congratulations!!! Yes make an appointment with your GP who will refer you to the midwifes. The midwife will want to see you probably in a few weeks (had my first appointment when I was about 8 weeks but I think it depends what area you live in).

My GP didn't want to see me, just booked me in with the MWs. I think I had a phone conversation early on with regards what not to eat/taking folic acid, but didn't actually see anyone til about 10 weeks.

It was a really weird time - privately all excited, but not wanting to tell everyone. I think it only really sank in that i WAS pg when i saw the baby at the 12 week scan. I was lucky and didn't really have symptoms apart from extreme tiredness.
