So tell me - where can I buy maternity shorts or a maternity dress?

Next do one pair of shorts - they don't fit. H&M do one pair of mat. shorts... they don't fit. Is anywhere else bothering to make maternity shorts for this hot summer season?

And as for dresses - they have all disappeared. I looked forward to being pregnant in the summer, imagining myself wearing some flirty little sundresses - the height of comfort - but there's nothing around. Just formal dresses.

Can anyone enlighten me?

what about Topshop ? They do a maternity selection, you can buy online too

zubb · 27/06/2005 12:18

JJMB have a sale on at the moment - I got a leaflet through the post this morning - and they have a couple of strappy dresses, and a pair of shorts (only one mind, and not very exciting)

NomDePlume · 27/06/2005 12:18

haven't checked them out though.

QueenEagle · 27/06/2005 12:20

I have 2 pairs of JJMB maternity shorts (one black, one beige), really comfy.

Am happy to let you have them for free if you are interested Beatie.

I had that leaflet too Zubb and don't remember seeing the shorts. I'll check out the website. I know they had a nice linen dress for half price but sometimes linen can be itchy so I was put off.

QE - what size are they. That's a very kind offer and I would of course pay you something.

I think zebraz had a couple for sale last week - have a look at the for sale threads.

zubb · 27/06/2005 12:23

just went to have a look and there are a few shorts on the JJMB website, not in the sale section though - in the maternity essentials.

jessicasmummy · 27/06/2005 12:24

Off the top of my head i think they are a medium. I have to go out in a few minutes but I can have a look when I get back this afternoon. I will let you know.

My usual dress size is a 12-14 so I would imagine I went on that as a guideline.

QueenEagle · 27/06/2005 12:28

And beatie I really wouldn't want any money for them, just want them to go to a good home!

NomDePlume · 27/06/2005 12:28

Topshop

beatie · 27/06/2005 12:30

I'll CAT you QueenEagle. Won't be around this afternoon or tomorrow but I'll make sure you have my email address.

I've bought some shorts in a few sizes bigger than normal, from the Tesco Value range. So only £3. Probably not the most flattering things ever, but good. They go up to size 22 I think.

Piccalilli · 27/06/2005 16:41

Mothercare have shorts - not very stylish, more sporty but they look comfy.

JJMB have a knee-length sundress which is nice but quite clingy

sorrel · 27/06/2005 17:20

vertbaudet has some with a dart for tummy in cerise green orange or white;

There were done on the new look website earlier

spaghettibolognese · 08/04/2013 20:24

I just bought these shorts from www.vertbaudet.co.uk/maternity-bottoms-shorts.htmv which arrived the other day - really love them. The only draw-back is that I think the buttons look a bit flimsy so might need a bit of reinforcement as I balloon out grow Grin

craftycottontail · 08/04/2013 21:49

Message me if you like the sound of a size 14 navy sundress from Mamas & Papas. Was going to Ebay it as the weather hasn't been warm enough for me to use it :(

Cavort · 08/04/2013 22:55

I was in New Look at the weekend and they had a couple of different pairs of maternity shorts. And I saw some quite nice sun dresses in Mothercare.
