LMP 10th November 2009 (normally 28/29 day cycle)which came 2 weeks late meant to be the 27th october.

I have had slight nausea (no sickness yet) mostly at night time, nasty migraine yesterday felt sick. achy boobs, feel fuller, tired etc.

so if i am PG, i'm potentially week 4???

or have i got this wrong?

so confused.

Yes sounds very likely! Symptoms can be on/off, different for everyone.

Freeasabird58 · 14/12/2009 13:42

The thing is, i dont want to test yet, just in case, but will need to know before boxing day as im going skiing! eek (not flying) we're driving there.

its wierd, even though i thought i was last month, i was testing loads, where as this time, i havent, i feel a bit anxious...

OP posts:
mumcah · 14/12/2009 14:14

Only one way to find out...go test!

mamasunshine · 15/12/2009 12:11

Have you tested yet?

Freeasabird58 · 15/12/2009 14:15

I havent tested, im now 12 week but.

just gone to toilet and light blood, so is that AF or...???

If the 1st day of your Last period was 10th Nov that would make you 5 weeks today? If it's very light bleeding it's probably implantation bleed. However, I'm not an expert. I personally would do a test and book a GP's appointment. I hope it's ++! Also maybe worth you asking in conception.

Freeasabird58 · 15/12/2009 14:28

Thanks for the reply.

it surprised me, as i normally know when my periods are coming. had no sign!

I'm just in a daze at the mo, we had intercourse over my fertile days from what i remeber... so who knows. its just so annoying ...

but i'll keep an eye on the bleeding..
normally i have pain, starts heavy etc. but this isnt (YET)..

my boobs have been itchy, nipples are different that normal. and sore. etc...

so weho knows.. ill test tomorrow maybe? or whens the best time?

OP posts:
mamasunshine · 15/12/2009 14:38

1st thing in the morning is the best time to test. Let me know will keep my fingers crossed It does sound very likely that it'll be positive though!!

Freeasabird58 · 15/12/2009 14:41

Thanks!

i just hope its not another "unexplained late period"!

I'm going skiing on boxing day though!! (not flying)!

asking in conception? sorry having a dumbo moment>?!

Came on today, it started really light, then stopped. then started again gradually getting more heavier & mega painful...

Got really tearful, as i'm quite annoyed as this is the 2nd month i've been 1 or 2 weeks late. but BFN & came on.

I know i say this over & over but were not "TRYING" but we would like it. i dont like the term trying......

i just get so upset when my cycle is all over the place, from where i;m late, heavy bleeding (which i never normally get this painful)

I've been off the pill since July (i only took one packet then stopped), we have unprotected intercourse regularly..

for now we're looking forward to Christmas and new year, skiing in 2 weeks etc. so i sound so silly saying that we're not planning, but we would like one? DP is nearly 25, im 20...

any advice will be appreciated

My advice - you may have PCOS which could explain irregular cycles - go to GP and insist on blood tests AND internal scan. Do not be fobbed off without internal scan - my blood tests were normal but pcos picked up by scan.

If you do have PCOS, then recommend following advice in book by Collette Harris.

There are also other medical reasons for cycles all over the place - you need to discuss with GP.

mamasunshine · 16/12/2009 11:31

Sorry to hear about AF and BFN. Maybe start a thread in the conception topic as I know lots of posters will have had similar experiences and maybe able to give you more advice on what to do next. I would definately book an appointment with your GP ASAP so they can take blood tests, they will check thyroid etc and PCOS could be a possibilty. You're both still very young so that's a big bonus. Are you taking any supplements? What's your diet like? Good nutrition is very important as is minimising stress. What were your periods like before you took 1 pill packet?

Freeasabird58 · 17/12/2009 14:13

I had a scan in November to check for PCOS etc, dr said my scan couldnt be more perfect! and she doesnt see any reason to cause difficulty in conceiving. she put it down to thinking about stuff to much (not just TTC related. work etc)

I've been taking folic acid for about 2 months everyday now as thats what she recommeded if it was possible to conceive (not using protection)

We dont use condoms as they irritate me (TMI)

basically since i came off the pill on 29th July my cycles have been:

4 weeks 4 days
4 weeks
6 weeks
5 weeks

does it sound like they're trying to regulate?

Agnus Castus tincture is good for hormone imbalances. My periods were all over the place and very heavy.I got fobbed off constantly by Dr's when I mentioned it.They all just said come back if I had trouble conceiving.I assumed I was infertile when in fact I have got pregnant 3 times in my life and all withing two months of trying. The first one we were using the withdrawl method.I'm saying that just cos your periods are all over the place it doesn't necessarily mean bad news fertility wise.
I did use ovulation kits the last time we were TTC.

Freeasabird58 · 17/12/2009 18:45

I mean we were using the withdrawal method until about september.. so its only really been 3 months where there is no protection at all.. and probably not doing "it" on the right days where i didnt know my dates..

I thought i had PCOS but USS was perfect, doc says she doesnt see why i wont be pregnant by early new year...

i think most of the time that its me stressing about where my period that stops me conceiving maybe..

how old were you with your first?

OP posts:
mamasunshine · 18/12/2009 13:49

I would also suggest taking Agnus Castus, it's very good at balancing hormones, therefore regulating your periods. It can take a good 6 months for periods to regulate after stopping the pill as well. Maybe a good idea to add a good pre-natal multi vit and min to give you a boost, especially if you've been under stress. Also maybe don't concentrate so much on when you are ovulating (for now??) and just try intercourse every other day, once your period ends.

And have a brilliant time skiing Will probably happen over your holiday period when your stress levels are down!

Freeasabird58 · 20/12/2009 10:08

I've been taking folic acid for 2 months just in case. Thanks, yeah i'm just going to relax, have a lovely christmas and smashing new year!

Merry christmas & happy new year to you!

I have very heavy, irregular periods. Anything from 4-7 weeks apart but more normally 5/6 weeks. AF is very heavy and lasts 9 days!

However, I have had 3 dc's in 3 years! All conceived first time! I kinow when I am fertile though (due to type of discharge- sorry if TMI) and it is not always the same time every month- sometimes it is right after AF has finished, sometimes a week after.

Make the most of skiing- it will never be so carefree again (we've not been since pre-dc and now they are 4, 3 and 1 it is a distant dream!! Have fun!

Also- you are very young (not that it matters) but you have plenty of time. If I were you I would wait a couple more years- babies/children are wonderful and will change your life and TBH for me it has only really just kicked in after 5 years of having virtually no lie-ins, being tired all the time, hardly getting any time to do things I enjoy, having to spend most of our money on the dc's, how relentless looking after them is!! I was 27 when I had ds and now I can't even remember how I filled all my time beforehand!
