Hi there

Sorry if this is really daft, but have read all the stuff about avoiding raw egg when pg and ensuring it is well cooked. I usually make a lot of quiches - I cook them for at least 20 mins at 180oc, then sometimes freeze them and re-heat or eat fresh. Is it OK to eat quiche now I am pg?

I think its fine as long as it's cooked Can't be 100% sure but I'm sure someone else on here will know! xx

Yes of course it is.

These days almost all eggs are from hens vaccinated against salmonella anyway, which I believe is the main concern.

Yes quiche is fine. You can eat eggs in anything as long as they are cooked. Eggs with the british lion stamp are guaranteed salmonella free anyway, so I don't see why we can't eat them raw (maybe we can? someone else might know........) Can you tell I really miss chocolate mousse
