Hello all,
I was sent for a scan this week because I was measuring only 30cm at 34 weeks.
The measurements taken on the scan showed that the baby weighed about 4lbs 9oz and the sonographer said this was on the small side of normal but wasn't anything to worry about (placenta flow & fluid amount was also normal). I myself have always been concerned that my bump isn't as big as it should be and I am worried that the baby will be low birthweight.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Can a baby be too small to be breastfed?
Do small babies have more health problems?
Does anyone know any reasons for small babies given that I have had a healthy pregnancy, don't drink or smoke and have followed all the rules in the book?
Many thanks in advance
