Owie how can I get baby out of my ribs?

If I wafted a very cool toy near my fanjo do you think that might tempt her downwards a bit?

I am 32 weeks and am so uncomfortable - she is wedged by my ribs and I can't get comfy sitting or standing. The only thing that helps ease it a tad is to apply a gentle pressure to the top of my bump which takes away the pressure on the ribs but I can't do this all the time!

Anything I can do? Apart from waiting until her head engages!?

OMG thandeka can't believe you are 32 weeks, I read somewhere about being on all fours and rocking back and forth....HTH

The all fours things worked for me. Especially if you sit on you knees, lean forward and lie on your elbows with your head to the side and your bum in the air.

Poor you. I had the exact same thing in my last pregnancy, when my freakishly tall son (he was 63cm when he was born!) jammed his foot in my ribs from 23 weeks. By my third trimester I was throwing up from the pain.

The only thing I found that worked was doing lots of elongating stretches - I'd hang off the handrails on the tube to stretch out! And sitting with my u-shaped pillow around my waist on that side meant I automatically sat up straighter which made things a bit more comfortable.

Take paracetamol if pain gets very bad.

And if it helps, I'm now 34 weeks with baby number two and so far haven't had the same pain. Phew! So perhaps next time will be easier!
