Epi-no - has anyone used it and did it help during labour?

I saw a physio today about pelvic floor exs. I asked her about the Epi-no and she said that she had heard good things about it but there had been no studies done on it. Her concern was that it might stretch down there but women might have problems after labour if you're overstretched. Has anyone found this to be the case? TIA

Hi there,

I am a physio and I used it when I was pg with DD. It was fantastic and I delivered her back to back with no tearing. I don't think there is any way that would have happened without it. My pelvic floor have been fine since (no leaking and that's what matters to me!). Hope this helps.

Thanks very much ladyandthechocolate. Now I just need to remember to do pelvic floor exs as well. Was given a wall chart today so hopefully that will help.
