If you had swine flu jab in Oct/early Nov how are you feeling now?

Hi, sorry to be starting another SF jab thread but I haven't seen a more recent one.. If you had the jab back in October or late November I would like to know how your pregnancies have progressed since. Has it progressed normally or were there any issues? Thanks

Completely normally since then. No changes at all (felt sick for a day after the jab but all good now).

I am absolutely fine. was scanned 2 weeks ago (at 32 weeks) and all fine with bub (touchwood)

The biggest change in me is that I am incredibly relaxed being out and about, which I wasnt before I had the jab.

I am fine too, only had a slightly sore arm afterwards- and baby seems fine in all checks/ scans. (36 weeks) I also agree I have stopped being completely paranoid when out and about- I am even happier to hug family members!!!

All fine with me/baby too. I had my 20 wk scan two weeks ago & all looking good. And only side effect for me, post jab, was a slightly sore arm for a few days. I had the swine flu jab around 19 wks. And same as others here, less paranoid about picking up germs now & relieved, esp as there has now been confirmed cases of swine flu at DS2's nursery

Just posted this on one of the other Swine Flu threads so forgive the duplication.

Presumably those women who have had the jab later in pregnancy, or a few weeks ago, are starting to give birth by now. I haven't heard anything in the media about complications or side effects to new borns of mothers who have had the jab. Does anyone know of anyone who has had the jab and given birth and all fine etc?

I'm now 27+6 and had the jab about 3 weeks ago - all fine with me and baby (only side effect was a sore arm for a few days). I've also found it's made me more relaxed about being out and about (on the tube, train, at work, christmas shopping etc).

All good here... and having the seasonal flu jab in 2 weeks too (am 25 weeks now). I am very pleased I made the decision to have it as I am sure the stress from weighing up all the pros and cons wasn't doing me much good either.

Had jab in nov.....no side effects apart from sore arm and have had 20 week scan since and all looks good. Glad I had it as several cases of confirmed swine flu at DS1s school (i.e. kids were swabbed and tested positive)....plus I have had a throat infection in the last few days and even though it is a pretty minor ailment (i.e. no fever - just sore throat and runny nose) I have found it quite tough to deal with as my immune system doesn't seem able to get rid of it as quickly as I normally would if I weren't pregnant. I can only imagine the horror I would be experiencing if i had something more severe like swine flu!!!

I had it in early Nov at 28 weeks pregnant. Everything has been absolutely fine and normal since then with me and the baby. And most importantly, I haven't had swine flu!

I had the jab at 25+1wks, and am now 27+4wks ... no changes in the bub's activity levels and the only side effects seemed to be a rather sore arm for 2 - 3days afterwards.

I read today that the Royal College of Obstetrics are going to start clamping down on midwives who are trying to put mums of having the jab (i.e. with disciplinary action).....they quoted mumsnet in the article and some of the things that some posters had said about the advice that they are getting from midwives regarding the jab (i.e. trying to put them off).....I think that it's great that they are standing up for the safety of the vaccine as hopefully this will get rid of some of the concerns that some of those currently sitting on the fence have.

Fine, had jab at 28 weeks and all ok now at 33. Had scan at 32 weeks for growth (as DS1 small) and all doing well this time.

I'm rather embarrassed to find myself posting a link from the Daily Mail website (I abhor everything it stands for) but this is one of the most well written, informative and considered articles I've come across re: the swine flu jab. Of course the comments at the bottom are by Daily Mail readers indulging in their usual scaremongering.

Yep, had it a month or so ago, no probs, feel a lot more chilled out now I can't catch it though. Also baby will have some immunity when she is very small.

I had it a while ago now. I had a sore arm for the next day, but as I can't sleep on my left hip anyway that didn't really affect me. There was no change in baby's activities at all and s/he is extremely active now, using my ribs as a foot piano, my hip bones as drums and my bladder as a football. I'm certainly not worried about his/her health!

Did anyone else hear that the sore arm everyone gets is because there is a micro chip in the vacine, so the government can keep tabs on you?

All fine, had a blooming sore arm for a good few days after though. If you are going to have the jab bit might be worth deciding which side you sleep best on before you go, I couldn?t lie on my arm for a few nights afterwards so didn?t get such a good night?s sleep.

That said it did knock me out a bit and I was mega tired for a couple of days after.

As for the micro chip?the government all ready make sure they have tables on us pregnant women by offering us the £190 grant to make sure we all trot off obediently to our midwifes so they can sign the form for us?

All fine - had it at 23 weeks, was scanned a few days later by a fetal medecine expert and babe was fine (was not being scanned then due to SJ jab!).

I agree with the others saying that they're far more relaxed going about their daily business. I love the fact that I can be at the office or shops and not be breaking out into a cold sweat everytime someone blows their nose or sneezes.

Had it 3 weeks ago, at 22 weeks. I had the sore arm and tiredness for a couple of days, and have been OK since, and baby seems OK so far.

I'm still careful when out and use hand gel, but I do feel more relaxed, less worried about people's sniffly kids etc. Also it is good to have the decision-making done.

Feel perfectly well, have had two scans and seen the consultant twice since (for an unrelated medical condition): baby is well, growing well and the consultant remarked that I looked and was very well and that he wished all of his patients were so well (pre-existing medical condition aside).

The big plus for me is that I am now much more relaxed about going about my business and no longer need to wear a mask (as had been advised to do before) when on public transport or crowded situations.

Crankytwanky, if it is any help I come from a medical family (both parents and a few uncles, aunts and cousins are hospital doctors, including a neonatologist) and they were all so keen for me to have the SF jab as soon as possible that I seriously considered travelling to the country where some of them work and where the vaccine was available a few weeks early. All of my family who were entitled to be vaccinated (as frontline healthcare workers) have been, as soon as was possible.
