No, but did have it in Feb this year and it's bloomin painful. Antibiotics, painkillers and rest is what's needed.
Have to say, off to the docs in a few mins as family virus has gone straight to my chest again, petrified it'll come back and I'm 17weeks PG.
If you've got this rest up and see doc! It's very easy to diagnose because of the rasping noise when you breathe, the two layers of pleura on the lungs rubbing together.

Yeah i found out today i have this, althought a few days ago the hospital told me a pulled a muscle so i went back for a second opinion.

And your right, it so painful!

She gave me amoxicillin 250mg and co codamol. I know she wouldnt of given these if they werent safe for LO, but im still worried!

How long did you need to rest up for?

My SIL had pleurisy while pregnant with my niece. Luckily MIL offered to have her and her DS at her house for a week (might have been longer) so that she could properly rest.

SIL pretty much stayed in bed while MIL looked after toddler.

She was in agony a lot of the time, you ahve my sympathies.

Please take care, this is awful without the added pregnancy issues.
It took me quite some time to get over and as Five said, it does take some time to get over and you can be vulnerable to infections for a while.

Pretty much had a weeks bedrest, I couldn't even pick up DD2 who was only 7m old. I'd never been parted from her till then, but my lovely mum helped out.
Take it easy, lots of rest, literally do nothing!!!
