If you are around 35 weeks - is your baby changing position?

Hi, Im all stressed with this baby!

I have put my heart and soul into trying for a natural birth this time after emerg CS last time. Have done hypnobirthing course and fought tooth and nail to get myself off high risk and into the birthing pool at hospital.

Last week the midwife told me (although I had a feeling? the baby was back to back but head down.

Been doing all the right things, on hands and knees, hanging over swiss ball etc.

Now the little fecker has spun round and is now either transverse (side to side) or breach. Head has gone from below, sides are stretched to max with knees poking out my sides. In saying that, I can feel a hard ball in middle above belly button???

Im positive the head has gone from below as midwife showed me how to feel it and also the hiccups have moved from pelvis area to middle/left side.

Im getting really stressed about it. I can't understand why it is moving so much.

The only thing I can think of is I find it very hard to lie on my left side because of sore shoulder so Im on my right a lot.

Anyone else same gestation and finding the baby is moving position?

Hi, I am also 35 weeks. Sorry, I can't really help with my own experience because i have no idea how my baby is lying at the moment (this is my first and i can never tell which bits are moving where), but have a mw appointment tomorrow so hoping she will be able to shed some light.

Last time I saw the mw she said although Junior was head down then (at nearly 33 wks) he/she might still do plenty of changing position and probably won't be fixed until 36/37 weeks.

Hope someone with more of a clue comes along soon and all the best with your birth plans, sounds like you are doing everything right!

Same here, splodge goes from breech to transverse to head down. I have been very very low down so much that people have commented that I'm not a 'wide load' i.e. transverse but sweeping the carpet.

For the last week I'm hoping it is head down, with body all to the right of me. The placenta is anterior which can make it more likely will be back to back i.e. facing it but dd was back to back and placenta was posterior. MW won't do a scan until 37weeks as we've had so much movement I keep telling her we have plenty of time yet!!

carrielou. I have an anterior placenta too and had heard this.

I have no idea what this baby is up to. This is my second and all I can describe the position as is weird!

How far on are you?

I get some really really odd shapes to my bump compared to with dd, this morning splodge has moved over to the left side and so low down I can get two hands under my boobs before I touch him/her!!

I'm 35+2 and getting loads of BH this time (none with dd) hope I don't go over too much though as dd was 40+15!!
