2nd pregnancy - very different symptoms - anyone else had experience of this?

Hi,
I'm currently only 6+3 in my second pregnancy, but so far it is completely different from my first pregnancy. First time around from the day after I found out I felt constantly nauseous, my skin was horrendous, I retched all the time, couldn't cope with strong smells and was constantly knackered. This time around I've got bigger, tender boobs and a few aches but other than that feel generally fine - no where near as bad. Am worried that this might mean things might go wrong - anyone else experienced different symptoms with different pregnancies?

9 weeks pregnant with baby 2 and I know what you mean. I have some nausea but generally don't feel pregnant at all. It still hasn't sunk in and I don't think it will until I see a healthy baby on a scan. Congratulations.x

Hi currently 17 weeks with dc3, first two horrendous morning sickness from the minute I tested, both boys, second also had spd quite early on, smells made me retch! With this one was waiting for the MS to kick in so much so I allowed myself to eat what I fancied from day one, big mistake! It never kicked in ! So now put on more weight than what I wanted at this stage oh and with this one I have boobs that would give Jordan a run for her money! I also worried about lack of morning sickness but very strong healthy baby at 12 week scan! Dont know what sex this baby is but have also devloped allergic reaction to mascara?!? Good Luck, and if you are driving yourself mad with worry ask for an early scan! x

Never been pregnant more than once, but isn't it well known for every pregnancy to be different, even for the same person??

Please, please don't worry about lack of symptoms. First time round I had absolutely NO symptoms - I mean literally nothing. No nausea, no aches and pains, no sore boobs, no spotting. I was totally convinced that when I went for the 12 week scan they'd tell me the pregnancy had failed. But all was fine, and I had a perfect pregnancy throughout (until the birth, that is ). I'm now about 4.5 weeks and I've had quite a bit of backache, lots of spotting, and I feel distinctly queasy. I'm hoping it means I'm having a girl this time round (first one was a boy), but who knows!

me too, 9 weeks with 2nd baby. 1st baby, was sick as a dog till i was 17 weeks, wiped out and smells were awful.
This time, a bit queasy...one big sore boob, but otherwise, nothing.
Ive got my 1st midwife appointment today, im going to ask them to listen in for a heart beat just to make sure that there is some thing in there!
