Swine flu jab - Have you had it yet if you are only pg with no other problems?

Before anyone says anything I have put this in Swine Flu but no one has answered me!

Im 32 weeks pg and phoned to book my jab yesterday. The earliest they can fit me in is the 13th of January! I will be 38 weeks pg then.

Has anyone got to wait this long?

I am only pg and dont have anything else to put me as high risk.

Wow that's a long wait!! My SIL and I (both pg) had ours at the begining of November. Any chance they might fit you in sooner?

Just to add, neither of us have any other conditions that put us at higher risk.

I thought it was a long time. Maybe I will call them today but she did sound very sure that they couldnt do it sooner.

I still haven't had a letter through asking me to make an appointment. It seems to be taking ages!

I had my jab 2 weeks ago at 27 weeks and have no other conditions. I could have had it a couple of weeks earlier but wanted to wait until the baby was a bit more developed. My surgery hadn't sent out letters. I only knew that they were having drop in clinics as I was at the surgery for my 24 week routine appt with the GP. Have you called your PCT?

I am 39 weeks, had my letter about 3 weeks ago, but not having the jab. have agonised over it but decided that i am generally healthy and not sure about risks of jab....Just hoping i can stay out of the way of anyone with the lurgy (in general, not just SF) until baby hs arrived...

That is a long time to wait; I have mine booked for tomorrow and I only phoned to make the appointment on Monday! mama2moo I would definitely check if they can't fit you in sooner; by January your pregnancy and the flu season will both almost be over!
