Turning a posterior baby around - any tips

I have just seen the midwife who has said my baby is lying in the posterior position. Luckily I'm only 34 weeks so still plenty of time, but does anyone have any tips on how to spin him around. Thanks

I can't help with how to turn him round I'm afraid. I can say that my baby was posterior at birth and (as much as you can say it about labour!) my labour was very normal and not really terrible or anything.

He actually turned somewhere between 2 and 7cm dilation

I think I tried hanging round on all 4s watching TV in the weeks before the birth to try and get him to move!

I was told last weeks (34 weeks) baby was back to back, still is. Look up 'spinning babies'. Great website with loads of tips.

Im currently watching Celebrity every night hanging over swiss ball, hands and knees, crawling forward and TRYING to lie in bed on left but can't sleep well like that due to sore shoulder.

I also get into a deep bath and let the bump hang forward in the water IYSWIM.

The spinning babies website gives you a position to try on the stairs (with support and help) that lets baby "swing free" - basically knees on one step, hands a couple of steps below with someone (DP) helping you not to fall! It's designed to encourage OP babies to turn.

My first was OP, and it was hellish in labour - I don't want to go through that again, so I have today taken my first steps to ensuring it doesn't by getting hold of a "kneeling chair" where my knees are lower than my hips. Hopefully this will encourage baby no. 2 to present properly. If this doesn't work I'm going to be on hands and knees on the stairs in about three months' time!

I did Pregnancy Aqua Aerobics, Pregnancy Yoga, scrubbing the floor on hands and knees, sleeping on my left, sitting on a yoga ball etc all through my pregnancy with DS.

He was still back to back.

He was very long and I am very short. Midwife said he probably just ran out of space to turn.
