Am in exactly the same position. This is number 2 and I don't remember feeling so knackered last time. I think it is normal and your body is going through masses of changes but it is completely draining isn't it?

I am 18 weeks and 4 days and i am exhausted still most of the time!
I dont know if its normal but i would guess it is, its very hard on our bodies to be pregnant it takes a lot out of us.
Hope you feel better soon hun xx

Its probably normal BUT its worth getting checked out - it could be normal but also could be either iron deficiency or thyroid deficiency - best to ask midwife / GP to check both of these at next visit.

I am 17 weeks tomorrow and this baby is my fourth and yes I feel tired all the time too

chegirlwithbellson · 01/12/2009 21:30

Yep me too. I feel fine now 21 weeks. But it took a while. This is my 5th. I am also pretty old (42)

I am full of beans most of the day but knackered by 4pm.

if you were tired because of underlying health condition you'd probably be very tired even in the morning after a good nights sleep - if ok all day but tired by late afternoon thats normal!

when i was diagnosed with my thyroid condition i was exhausted even at 10am after 10 hours sleep.
