I've been under ridiculous amounts of stress because of work. I've had a hideous couple of weeks and I feel like I'm barely coping.

I already have PND and my doctors made me stop my ADS cold turkey as soon as I got pregnant. I have found this very difficult and everyone on MN has said they're in the wrong.

What's worrying me now is that I have a muscle in the top of my stomach that feels like it's about to snap. I've never felt anything like it, it makes my skin crawl. It hurts most if I've bent down a few times or if I've picked DS up.

Also, I'm starting to get bad period pains on and off.

Should I be worried?

I have no idea whether it is stress related or not... but the combination of that much stress and depression is very upsetting. I have depression - not on AD's during pregnancy either - and have had the most stressful period of work I have ever had (up until about 18 weeks)... but my GP wanted to sign me off work... I carried on as I am freelance and am working on a career changing project... but around 28 weeks I am going to reassess and see whether I can really carry on. Do you think you should try and get signed off, even just temporarily so you get a break and see if the pain goes. Perhaps you should check it out with your midwife as well. Hopefully it might be relieved by just taking the pressure off....

I can't go on the sick as I only get paid for the time I work so I'd be skint.

But I am seeing my midwife on wednesday so I'll ask her then. Keep thinking this baby is going to come early.
