Can c/s make you not feel movements?

Silly question, but I am 16 weeks pregnant with my 6th child. My last 2 were c/s.

Thing is I havent felt this baby move yet. I normaly feel movement by now.

The silly question is....Can having c/s make it numb inside your womb? My skin is numb on the outside, half way up to my belly button, so can it also be numb inside?

Nothing major, just wondering

Hi,

I wondered this too but i started feeling my baby at 14 weeks. I had a section with DD1 and this is my second. Maybe it can make it numb inside if you have more than one..? Sorry not really sure! congrats btw!

The placenta might be at the front which can hide movement. DD's placenta was like this - a bugger for the scans and I didn't ever really feel her move, except when she kicked at the sides. I am pregnant again, this time the placenta is on the top and I can't believe how different the movement is despite the fact that I had a section with DD. I think I am cooking a footballer!

Hope this helps put your mind at rest.

I haven't had any c/s.
I didn't feel my 3rd child move until 22wks.
I don't know why. She was fine and bouncing around at the 20w scan. I just couldn't feel anything.

I thought there was something seriously wrong as I'd felt dc2 move from 11w.

Maybe its that then, dont know where the placenta is though, as they dont check position until 20 week scan. Could be at the front, as never had a front one before, and it never goes in the same place does it?

I am not overly worried, and have consultant Wednesday. Just feel like I am missing out really.
