after not being in the mood for a long time, me and my bf start to get down to buisness (sorry TMI!) and when he was urrmm playing (lol!!) he said he could feel a hole?

So bit confused, went to the bathroom and investigated and where my cervix is, my tip of my finger fits in it. its never been like that before.

Is this usual for 27 weeks? Im not sure whether to be worried or not

I would get a midwife to check it. Better safe than sorry.

i rang midwife last night, who basically said that unless i was gettin contractions not to be concerned :-s althought im not sure. ive been gettin very strong braxton hicks but thats it. Just though it was weird for your outer cervix to be open so soon :-s

jammy it is less usual for the cervix to be open with a first baby.

If you are getting stronger than usual Bh that are in any way regular, then I would get checked TBH.

How are things today?

Lulumama · 29/11/2009 15:02

i would ask to be checked out especially s you have been having some strongish pains.

basically it means you are 1cm dilated

however you can be 1cm dilated for the whole pregnancy and nothing bad will happen, and once you've delivered a baby, your cervix is always 1cm or so open for evermore.

you are concenred, with pains and your cervix is a little open, so you really should be checked out, not least to reassure you

liahgen · 29/11/2009 15:06

agree with Lulu. Get checked anyway, can't hurt and it wil put your mind at rest.

how are you jammydodger86?
