Go to the hospital. It can be a seen of pre-eclampsia or diabetes, or several other things too, none of them good to ignore.

ledodgy · 28/11/2009 22:03

Yes go and get it checked out now.

Mooncupflowethover · 28/11/2009 22:04

I had blurred vision, turned out I had gestational diabetes. Get it checked out is my advice.

heartofgold · 28/11/2009 22:05

is it by any chance a spreading semicircle, with multicoloured jaggy lines? i had migraine aura (no headache) in my last pg, freaked me out, was fine. definitely get checked asap though.

i thought that might be the opinion! was hoping to be wrong! they make you feel rubbish in our hospital if it turns out to be nothing. will give them a ring now. thankyou

Yes, pre-eclampsia was my first thought. Don't panic, but do ring them tonight and get it checked out. Let us know how you get on.

OracleInaCoracle · 28/11/2009 22:11

sounds a bit like pre-eclampsia to me. i had it at 34 weeks with ds, went to hospital and my protein was off the chart, def get it checked out!

Amapoleon · 28/11/2009 22:11

I had this with pre-eclampsia. Don't want to scare you but you should go to hospital.

Good luck!

I'm 35 weeks and my BP has shot up in the last week and I have had constant headache and I have constantly asked if I have any of this (which I haven't). Please do get it checked, no-one will tell you off it really does need to be checked

whomovedmychocolate · 28/11/2009 22:14

I've had full on eclampsia and I remember this symptom very well, don't remember much else but apparently I was very sick. Don't sit around worrying about what they will think about you at the hospital, just go

MumNWLondon · 28/11/2009 23:09

I had this with my 2nd pregnancy.... can't remember exactly when, i think around 28-30 weeks, I was completely freaked out! I went to optician (I was at work and could get to optician without going on any roads as work was adjacent to shopping centre). They said it was an optimal migraine more common in pregnancy and not to worry, and after around 1.5 hours it was ok again.

I called my dad (he's a GP) he didn't seem to be very worried about it - I had detailed eye test the next week and next day was checked for GD, and had blood pressure etc checked at GP but it turned out just to be one of these things.

any update shp? did you get checked out?
