Am nearly 9 weeks pregnant but last few days my morning sickness has improved and I noticed today as I put my bra on that I am not as swollen and sore as I was.

I seem to be a complete loon when it comes to fears and worry with this pregnancy.

So is this normal? Symptoms to tail off so soon? [fretting]

I think around 8 weeks MS often peaks and tails off. Obviously not in either of my pregnancies! .

Try not to worry.

Thanks Picante, with DD I had MS till nearly 6 months and that is why I am a bit worried. I should be relieved I'm feeling better I know, roll on scan day

When I had DD I was a bit sick from 6 - 8 weeks, after that I felt fab! This time, however, I have been sick the whole way through, I'm, 32 weeks now and still feeling rubbish.

I'm sure everything is OK, try not to worry.

GibbonInARibbon · 27/11/2009 11:56

Thanks Fifi, think I will make 'every pregnancy is different' my mantra

Sorry you are still feeling rubbish btw, hope you get some respite soon.

Every pregnancy is different so try not to worry. My MS lasted a bit longer than yours but I was still worried when it suddenly vanished. Have you got an appointment for your 12 weeks scan? Hopefully you will find that really reassuring. If you're really worried about it contact your GP and ask to be referred for an early scan.

GibbonInARibbon · 27/11/2009 12:09

Thanks heth, yes have scan booked, it's in a couple of weeks. Mentioned it to my friend this morning who said she had good days and bad days so be careful what I wish for as may feel rough again next few days.

Just thought I would post on here too as it does help me feel better knowing it's not unheard of to go from feeling utterly dreadful to feeling OK.

Think I need a virtual slap to stop fretting

I've had a couple of periods of feeling almost back to normal during this pg. Both times I've thought "hurrah the MS has gone!" only for it to come back a day or two later....! I'm another one with 2 completely different pgs: DS1 MS until about 11 weeks then fine for rest of pg, DC2 still rough at 18 weeks. If only it could have been the other way round lol.

Hang in there, not long til your scan and you can relax a bit x

Sickness carried on for a loooooooong time. But tender boobs stopped quite early on for me, probably at about this time for you. Lucky you if your sickness has gone away - get out and make the most of it.... (because it may return...)

GibbonInARibbon · 27/11/2009 13:00

Thank you ziggy and VB - really does make me feel better knowing others have had similar [relief]

Gibbon's having a boy, gibbon's having a boy...

RnB · 27/11/2009 13:14

I'm sure my breasts got a bit smaller around the 10 weeks mark. All was fine

GibbonInARibbon · 27/11/2009 13:17

Thank you all, truly. Glad I posted as it has (as I hoped) made me feel better.

oohhh how spooky will it be if it is a boy?
